Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Gentle support for your body’s natural flow.

A Purposeful, Light-Touch Approach to Lymphatic Wellness

Lymphatic Drainage massage is a gentle, specialized, rhythmic massage technique intended to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid and support normal circulation and fluid drainage. The treatment involves light, repetitive strokes and gentle pressure to areas of the body where lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes are located.

*Please advise us if you are receiving medical treatment as we may require a Doctor’s release. Must be at least one week post-op with no open wounds or drains. This service is not for weight loss or body sculpting.

Potential Benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Depending on the individual, potential benefits may include:

  • Supporting healthy lymphatic circulation and fluid movement
  • Helping to reduce the sensation of heaviness or fullness associated with fluid retention
  • Supporting the body’s natural management of excess fluid
  • Promoting relaxation and a sense of overall well-being
  • Providing a gentle option for clients who prefer lighter-touch bodywork
  • Supporting recovery and comfort following certain procedures, when MLD is appropriate and approved by the client’s healthcare provider
  • Helping clients become more aware of areas of tension, fullness, or fluid-related discomfort

Everybody responds differently to MLD, and results vary from person to person. MLD is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. Clients with a medical condition, recent surgery, or concerns about swelling should consult their healthcare provider before receiving treatment.

Who Can Benefit From Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

  • Wellness-focused clients who enjoy gentle, restorative bodywork
  • Clients experiencing feelings of puffiness, heaviness, or fluid retention
  • Individuals interested in supporting healthy lymphatic circulation
  • Clients recovering from certain procedures, when MLD has been recommended or approved by their healthcare provider
  • Individuals managing certain lymphatic or swelling-related conditions, when receiving appropriate care and medical guidance
  • Clients who prefer a lighter-touch massage rather than traditional deep-tissue techniques

Because MLD is a specialized treatment, it isn’t appropriate for everyone. Certain medical conditions, acute infections, blood clots, uncontrolled heart or kidney conditions, and other circumstances may require avoiding treatment or obtaining medical clearance first.

Our Lymphatic Drainage Approach

At Fusion Spa, lymphatic drainage massage is performed as a gentle, intentional, and sequenced treatment. Each session follows a specific flow designed to work with the body’s natural lymphatic pathways. Treatment typically begins with gentle techniques to prepare key lymphatic areas before progressing through the body in a purposeful sequence.

Because every body is different, the areas addressed, techniques used, and order of treatment may be thoughtfully adjusted based on your individual needs, comfort, and treatment goals.

For the best experience, clients are encouraged to allow the full treatment sequence to be completed rather than requesting isolated areas only.

Areas We Can Address

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage can be performed on different areas of the body where lymphatic vessels and lymph-node regions are located. Depending on your individual needs and treatment goals, a session may include areas such as the neck, face, arms, abdomen, back, legs, and breast/chest area.
  • Because the breast and chest area can be particularly sensitive, treatment in these areas is always approached with appropriate draping, communication, and client consent.
